Care Tips & Flowers Below

Why are my flowers dying?  If this question is one you have asked, this section will help.  I will first cover some basis reasons and also give individual flower care below.

Water - Very Important
Softened water is toxic to carnation and roses and will burn leaf tips in potted plants.  The fluoride in tap water is very toxic to gerbera, gladiolus, roses and freesia.  Hard water slows or stops flowers from drinking.  Deodorizer's, reverse osmosis or rain water will add longer life to your flowers.

Bacteria kills flowers.
Use disinfectants to clean all containers.  Change water every four days.  Disinfect tools used to cut fresh flowers.

Ethylene Gas harms certain flowers:
Roses, Lilly's, Freesia, Daffodils, Snapdragon, Stock and others are affected.  Some items which are sources of high quantities of ethylene gas.  Fruit, gasoline, firewood, tobacco are certainly items to keep away from these flowers.
